I'm planning to travel in Eygpt from July 2 to July 17, during which I want to do a diving trip. Is July a good time for diving in Red Sea? And where is the best, north or south?

Thanks a lot

It's always a good time to dive in the Red Sea! :D

But yeah, July is cool. Well, it's hot outside, the water is warming up but still a little on the chilly side (26 degrees last year) but the fish life is heading towards its peak, and generally all round great diving.

As for north or south which is better - well, that depends what you want, and if you go south then a safari is the best option. As for which is better - I will leave scubaboarders to post their opinions - I've never been South, so have no basis for comparison.

Cheers

Sounds very exciting. Since I indeed want to spend 7 days inland and ~7 days for diving (could be liveaboard), I have to decide whether go for North or South...It's really a hard call. It seems that only things attractive in the South are Hammerhead and other sharks which are not guaranteed. I'm wondering whether it's worthwhile to fight against the rough currents for that....

Anyone knows how many days a trip will take to the South (brothers, Daedalus Elphinstone)...

Thanks
