I am considering a dive trip to Florida in July and wondered if it would be worth the trouble to stop and dive Rainbow River and or Crystal River.
I understand the chances of manatees is very slim. I was just wondering if the dives at these locations were worth a couple of days.
I would be driving down so logistics really would not be an issue.

Thank you.

Rainbow river is incredibly popular, but more as a snorkel trip. Summer hot: Springs cool! :D However, if Scuba is your goal then Paradise Spring is nearby. While it's open to OW divers, please bring lights. Paradise Springs

You might also consider Alexander Springs (SE Ocala National Forest), Blue Grotto or Devil's Den (Both are just a bit SW of Ocala).

Edit: I added links

FWIW Rainbow River if fun as a drift dive. It's shallow enough to snorkel, sure, but nothing wrong with taking the water taxi, hopping in, then blowing bubbles back to starting point.
