is it busy right now in cozumel

i am in roatan honduras, where the season is absolutely dead thanks to the economy.

i was offered a job as videographer in cozumel, but since my money is extremely low, and the position is commission based, i don't want to relocate just to have there be no divers.

So basically, what is it like in cozumel right now. is it busy. Also my boyfriend is coming with me. Will it be hard for him to find work this late in the year. Any suggestions on where he should start?

he's and instructor, but wouldn't be opposed to other kinds of work.

Three friends and I just spent 5 days diving in Cozumel. We got back on friday the 13th. This was my 8th dive trip to Cozumel since March of 08. It was considerably slower than usual. I noticed the cruise ships were not staying the night so it did not give divers on the cruise ship a lot of time to dive I guess. We all noticed that it was not very busy and when we asked the divemasters whom we know very well they also said it has been slow lately but expect it to pick up by the end of March.
