Hello folks, looking forward to gaining some good advice/info from the very experienced and knowledgable divers out there, but one important detail will make discussions go much more smoothly. Please don't respond to posts if you are one of the ornery all seeing, all knowing superdivers that criticize ideas more than you actually think about what you are criticizing.... The pc is for information trade, not bullying concepts that you can't understand and/or refrain from even trying to comprehend. If this description fits you, whether you believe it or not (you know), please don't participate, leave the discussions for grown ups.... Thanks and please don't mistake this as an indication that I'm hostile, I just know how things go on some of these discussions and I don't want any part of the back n forth bickering that tends to go on. Its a total distraction from the original topic not to mention chicken-s*&t and a waste of everyone's time.... OK then, lets get it on!!!!

Welcome to the ScubaBoard! I think you have made your position very clear:D

Well, you've left me with a great deal of hesitancy to answer any questions you might pose . . .

I know I was a little harsh in my intro, but I'm here to learn... become more skilled and even thou I'm a newbie, I've been reading these forums for quite sometime and members get to arguing and ridculing others and it leads to a bunch of wasted time. I understand correcting someone when they are wrong, but don't disrespect them. Anyway, hope you understand and if not then I 'm ok with you not answering my questions... thanks and that'll be the last about peoples actions on this site.

Well, CN is supposed to mean Clueless Newbie, which isn't entirely true to begin with, but since you've posted I've been looking around at sites that have lists of scuba slang and abbreviations and the following is the only one that has CN in it, so its very understandable for you or anyone else to not know what it was supposed to mean, even I didn't before seeing it on this site.

Here's the website if you want to look:
Scuba Slang and Technical Terms

I suppose I thought it was general terminology within scuba, but I was wrong once again...
My problem is I've dived several times, nothing too extreme, but with the same two guys or by myself. So I never really had a chance to listen to fellow divers talk because I wasn't certified and my friends were the only people that would dive with me. It doesn't matter to me too much that I don't know either, but as you can see, it tends to make look like a tool! Anyway, thx for the post. Take it easy
