Tomorrow will be the Cozumel ‘full’ Ironman: “consisting of a 2.4-mile (3.86 km) swim, a 112-mile (180.25 km) bicycle ride and a marathon 26.2-mile (42.2 km) run, raced in that order and without a break” (WIKI). There will be about 3000 participants. Good luck to anyone attempting movement by land on the island.
If you watch the race and see Jorge Cabrera ‘the Cubano’ (DM at TP, formally at BA) go by wish him luck. Jorge won his class in September on the ½ Ironman and has re-armed with a new bike and hopes to improve his time tomorrow. Good Luck Jorge!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been volunteering at IM Wisconsin the past couple of years peeling wetsuits. Don't think I will ever race it though. Too hilly. I have done the half distance before and found that to be long enough. Olympic distance is my favorite though woefully out of shape right now. If I do a full it would be one of the flat ones like CZM, FLA, or AZ.

Best of luck to Jorge and the rest of the racers!

I see Jorge came in fourth in his division!
New bike must have helped.
