What are some must have iPhone apps for a diver? My instructor had an app that showed the high and low tide, but I didnt catch the name of it.

Trust me, I googled it. Didnt give me much helpful information.

I use MacDive for logging. It backs up to iCloud which allows syncing between iPhone, iPad and home computer. Downloads from numerous dive computers as well.

I bookmarked Safari web links to my home screen such as tide forecast, sea conditions, and webcams. Also, I use Diveboard as an online digital logbook. I recently bought MacDive as a stand alone log.

A few I find useful for diving & marine forecasts are:

- Dive Log
- AyeTides
- OutCast

Goodreader is also handy, since it makes it easy to keep PDF's of all your equipment manuals on your phone. Can save a trip if you're in a pinch, and it helps if you load them as you get new stuff.

Ditto for dive log.
(Although like most long term divers I did stop loving dives for long periods. When I stopped logging my dives, I used to log teaching dives, that petered out. Switching to CCR ment some dives where logged - by the unit. My regular dive buddy logs everything, so I was able to rebuild quite a lot of my dives.)

I also have
My tide times
Windguru
V planner
Tides near me
Also the London Diving Chamber - has some medical and DCI info, that may prove useful.

The only problem with dive log, is that it has a map function, which highlights how many places I haven't dived!
I also have the comparable software on my PC, allowing me to copy the logs between the two applications. The downloads tend to go on the PC and then import from there.

I use dive log as an electronic log book, as well the V-Planner on iphone is great for having planning at hand.

AyeTides for tides and current. Doesn't require a cell or network connection to use.
Nitrox Tools for simple EANx calculations.
Baltic for deco planning.
SAC Rate for calculating gas consumption.
