Dear underwater videographers,
I recently purchased DiveVolk housing and would like to ask for some advice for a novice.
As mentioned in the title I will be using the following:
- camera: iPhone 15 Pro
- housing: DiveVolk Seatouch 4 Max
- Accessories:
- Shooting mode: Apple Log HDR + 4k + 60fps (to have more frames for choice of slow motion in post production)
- Video editing / post-production: Apple Final Cut Pro 11
With this set-up, I would greatly appreciate any advice you can give with regard to post-production: should I buy some additional custom LUTs - like the ones sold by Matthias Lebo and other folks - there seem to be a small universe of custom LUTs available... are they a "must have" or a significant boost in post-production efficacy or more or less one gets the same stuff done without much hassle when doing manual white balance and colour correction in the FCP 11?
Any tips you could give me to avoid too many beginner mistakes? ...still not too sure how and when to choose to use the red filter vs when to avoid it, shoot just in natural Apple Log HDR with video lights and then try to bring out the reds in post... probably will need some trial and errors and see what comes out in post, but any tips would be very much appreciated!
