Did anyone get it done to download video from a camcorder to the Ipad Air and what's more get it in to iMovie.
I got this USB to iPad cable and connect it to the Canon GF10 I use for filming under water. But only the photo's show up on the iPad.
So if anybody got this done, even if it requires a jailbreak, which I hadn't done so far, but did this week to see if that would help, please enlighten me. I would very much like to leave the MacBook at home on my next trip.

I've had a similar issue with my iPad mini. I have been told numerous reasons why it happens but nobody has been able to offer a solution. The only way I've found it works is to pull the SD card out of the camera and use the camera connect kit from Apple to transfer the videos to the iPad. The critical bit to this is "from Apple". I ordered a cheap kit from Amazon and it didn't work but as soon as I paid the big bucks to the Apple store, it works like a champ.

Thanks for the answer, but the GF10 has built in memory, so there is no SD card. Besides isn 't the connection kit only for the large connector? For the iPad Air I only found the USB to iPad connector, the "lightning" connector Apple calls it.
