3D diver
Contributor
Hi,
I'm new to the forum, but not to diving, and figure I should do an introductory post.
I was certified in '81 (NAUI Openwater) & have 297 dives logged in North Carolina, Southern and Northern California, & a few warm water local's (Hawaii, Cozumel, Taiwan). I've mostly been a shore diver but have done some boat and wreck diving.
I had to stop diving 6 years ago when my late wife got too sick to be left alone & later had some health issues of my own. I've recovered enough to get back to it---my regs and tanks have been serviced, I have a new drysuit on order (last one delaminated after 22 years), and have done a pool session to be sure I can tolerate breathing the dry air. The next step is an ocean dive in the near future (though another pool session with the drysuit may be prudent as well).
I got interested in 3D photography in the early '90s & have two rigs (wide angle and macro) for taking stereo pairs with Nikonos V cameras. Most of the pictures are still slides so I'll have to find a way to scan them before I can post many pictures. I'll have to have the cameras looked at before getting them wet again.
I was a member of the California Sport Divers club that used to meet in Mountain View & would be glad to hear from other former members.
