intova sport hd ii rubber popping out of housing.

I'm on a dive trip and would appreciate a quick response, when I sealed my intova sport HD ii earlier I noticed that the rubber o ring popped out behind the clip and does so every time I close it. Never noticed this before. Is it normal to do that ?
