I appologize up front if there is an obvious answer to this question.
I've just received the diffuser for my Intova IC 14 underwater housing but according to the instructions it should have a fiber optic cable like this one:

I have no idea what this is for or how to use it and I've scoured the net and can only come up with adverts for them but no information on how to use them or why.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :blinking:
 
Ok, so you have the diffuser but do not have the cable? Is that correct? The diffuser is for the built in flash. The fiber optic cable is to run an external strobe. Are you running an external strobe?

Yes, I have the diffuser but not an external flash.
 
Then you do not need the cable.
