intova edge X battery life

I have just bought an intova edge X and I love it, but I find that even with the power saving modes in place like turning the screen off in between use during the dive and the wifi disabled, the battery doesn't last through 2 dives. I'm hesitant to open it on the boat, in between dives, to change batteries. We dive off rubber ducks and the swell is not that forgiving. I get about 20min recording time and a few photos over the duration of about 1h20min and that's it the battery is dead. the intova Nova I had before this lasted much longer.
Is this normal? can you get a battery that lasts longer?

You should get 1.75 hours on one battery. We can change battery under warranty if you are not getting full run time.
