Can any one point to installation instructions for converting a Scubapro MK25 to DIN. I have the DIN fitting but without directions on its installation.
Thanks

Not difficult, but very easy to chew things up without the right tool (best not to use that 12' crescent). If it's just a one off thing take it to a dealer.

Do a search on the board to find out how to make the special socket if you do decide to diy.

Here's a quick and dirty run down. Before you start, make sure you have a 6mm allen wrench-socket and a torque wrench. You'll also need an allen wrench for port plugs, I think that one is 5/32 or something like that.

You can get the yoke off either with a special 1" socket that you probably don't have, or maybe a big adjustable wrench. The newer SP yokes are sometimes a major PITA in getting an adjustable wrench to fit; it's like they designed the yoke to make it more difficult to get anything on the yoke nut except their socket. I think some of the newer yoke nuts also have a 6mm hex fitting, so you might be to use a long allen wrench to get in there.

Once you get the yoke off, just make sure the o-ring is lightly lubed and in place in the DIN retainer, and make sure the filter retainer (small allen fitting) is out. Then you can install the retainer with the allen wrench socket and torque wrench. The torque is something like 260 in/lbs, or around 22ft lbs. Put the filter/spring/filter retainer back in, and you're all set. As long as you have the torque wrench and allen fitting, it's a breeze. You also need a vise or something to hold the reg while you apply the torque.

If you have access to a vise, you can remove the yoke screw, clamp the yoke nut in the vise, and turn the body of the reg to remove it. Because the DIN retainer (the bigger part) has a recess, you need to find a 6mm Allen wrench socket that's 3-4" long to tighten it like mattboy said, then a 4mm Allen to tighten the filter retainer to 35 in.-lbs.

The job is easy, but the tools can be a problem. Maybe you can borrow a torque wrench for the 22 ft-lbs job, I think the ones for the tires may work. Then you can deal with the filter retainer by feel, 35 in.-lbs is just a bit over finger tight.
