Inon Z240 & G9 buoyancy

Hi all,

I have the canon housing (WP DC 21), one Inon Z240, arms and G9.

Anyone know how buoyant this set up is ?

I've tried it in the bath and it seems to sink. Anyone got experience in the sea ?

The housing w/ g9 is positive, strobe is negative, arm depend on the type mostly negative unless you're using floating arm. I have similar system, except D2000 strobe with Fantasea steell arm which is very negative. The system will sink even in the sea.

Is this negativity a big problem ? Do you attach anything to the rig to keep it more buoyant ?

Yes, very annoying for makro - I bought cheap swimming kickboard, cut and made a small hole then insert into the arm. Work well up to 25 m only deeper will be a bit negative but still better than without it.
