If I wanted to fit a WAL to my dc800 would it be worth getting the inon wide angle, or go straight for the inon fisheye lens?

the wide angle is very good - about 100 - 105 degs depending on camera. It is cheaper and less bulky than the fisheye, but if you want extreme 165 deg wide go with the fisheye. Remember to illuminate the fisheye you are going to need 2 strobes, the wide can get away with one if you aim right.

I would recommend to get the wide, the fisheye is more of a speciality lens in my opinion.
