Looks like the INON close up lens for the S95/WP38/28LD has been released

I was checking out the current INON Line up and was wondering what improvements are found with the new LD mounts vs. the old 28AD/AD mount.

INON Attachment Lnes [Lineup]

Are there any major advances?

It's a slightly larger diameter mount & lens system to help alleviate the vignetting that was occurring with the S90/28AD combinations.

Makes me wonder now if they will make a UFL165AD in LD mount.

Not likely. The LD system was a revision to the 28AD system and is designed for 28mm lenses. The UFL165AD was not designed to be used on anything less than a 35mm lens so they don't see it as even compatible with the S95.

What I meant was not adapting the UFL165Ad to LD but rather if they would eventually make a lens with the same properties as the UFL165AD in LD format. The current line up of LD lenses requires the dome unit which is both bulky and expensive.

I love the UFL165AD - compact, widest FOV and Bayonet mount. I do have to zoom in to 35mm to eliminate vignetting on my FIX S90. However, no loss of FOV when compared to my older IXUS 80is (35mm) + UFL165AD on canon housing. In fact, it is exactly the same FOV.
