Last year, after taking years off from diving, I purchased a regulator set. Before I get chastised for not having my regulators checked out by a pro, let me say that my dives are usually no deeper than 15 feet. I use the set up for fossil hunting.

The first 2nd stage is a chrome plated Scubapro with an adjustment knob on the side. I guess it is probably a 109 model.

The second 2nd stage is a Aqual Lung Conshelf XIV.

The 1st stage is made by Scubapro. It has 4 low pressure ports, 1 high pressure port and the low pressure ports turn on an axis.

Everyone here seems to be familiar with these regs but I can't seem to find out more info on them. I understand the Scubapro is upgradable. Where can I find out how to do that? Where are parts kits available? Which 1st stage do I have? Does anyone know where I could get tech manuals on these regs? Does the 1st stage require annual servicing?

I enjoy the fact that these regs are all metal; we tend to be a little rough on our gear.

Yes, sounds like a Mk5 with an R109. Service kits are still being provided by SP and you should be able to get them serviced at any SP dealer. I dive both R109s and R156 (the balanced adjustable "upgrade" of the R109). I prefer the R109 when treasure hunting in local rivers as it is a little less susceptable to current induced freeflows. Many of the parts including the annual service parts are also used in more modern SP regs.
