these for their macro setup??---A "Fisheye Easy Closeup" (supposably for 52 mm threaded ports), click link below.....I'm trying to get the macro portion of a FIX S95 down....

Backscatter Underwater Video & Photo: underwater and waterproof camera housings

Here's a picture of the '2 element' (there is also a cheaper 3 element--it's in the link)-can't find any info anywhere on the power of these sytems.....

TIA..........

EDIT: what other way(s) are there to go for macro with the FIX S95 housing.......Again, TIA.....

My guess is that there is a plus 2 and a plus 4 there to get you 2, 4 and 6. The three macro adapted looks like it doesn't have lenses but would fit any standard set.

Wish I could get one of my lensometers on them----can't find anywhere on the internet what their (real) power is....

Got 2 Inon UCL-165M67 and the Dyron M67 adapter for WP-DC38. Is there a adapter for the Fix housing that can take Inon M67 or AD?

Inon lenses may seem a bit expensive but the quality is really good.

My guess is that a phone call to backscatter will solve the mystery.

Not really......
They didn't know?
From the pictures on the Seatool Japan website
Easy Close-up Lens
my estimate is that using both lenses of the two lens set is about a +4 diopter and the three lens set ends up about 6 or 7. It is hard to really know since you don't know how much zoom they used.

I think most people would find the Inon lenses to be far superior to any sort of flip down magnifying glass, however, the port size on the new FIX95 housing is the wrong size for the 67mm Inon lenses and there is no 52mm to Inon AD mount for the Inon AD lenses that I know of.

Sooooo, then, you would have to use a step ring to 67mm from the 52mm port to get to the 10Bar 67mm to AD adapter to mount the Inon UCL165AD. This would place the lens out forward a ways but then it should still work as macro lenses do not seem to be as critical as do the wide angle lenses at maintaining absolutely minimal distance between camera lens and accessory lens. Will this work, you tell me, I think it will.

It'll work.........I did find out tthe ones I asked about are +2 D each---for a total of a +4....I did order the UCL 165M67 with a step-up ring---it is a +6 and some change UW.....
