For the last year now, i've had what i can only describe as a soreness in my sinuses. I can't remember exactly when it started but i can't remember having it before my first training dives in February. I can only describe the feeling as the feeling you get immediately after having water up your nose. It's not painful but can be a bit uncomfortable. It seems to be aggravated by bending over as with sinusitis, but there does'nt seem to be the feeling of pressure build-up, just a soreness. Recently I had to go for a dental x-ray and the radiologist noted that my sinuses appeared inflammed.
Psuedoephedrine has no effect, and it seems to be worse when i am dehydrated. I have had bouts of sinusitis in the past but they always have been quite acute and only last a couple of weeks. It doe'snt affect my diving, and I know I should probably get it checked out but i thought i'd see if anyone else has had the same complaint.

Cheers!

If you have good insurance, go to an ENT and have a scope shoved up your nostrils.... Otherwise, your guess is as good as mine. Some FP's do this, but most do not. Sinusitis still can not be ruled out, and some docs might try to treat you with a course of antibiotic.

Definitely go see an ENT if you can. I had major sinus problems for years and went to an ENT about a year ago. My course of action was surgery but that's not for everyone. Sinus problems are no fun and it's best to get them checked out!
