Could use some help due to being on short notice and not much time to research. Work is putting me in Sydney Austrlia in March and this may be our best chance on ever diving Indonesia. I plan on getting round trip ticket for myself for like 3 weeks, 7-10 days in Australia for work and the remaining time for dive trip and having my dive buddy meet up with me. We have been diving about twice a year for the last 17 years all in the Caribbean. We,ve been able to dive in Fiji and Philippines the last few years only due to having enough miles to pay for airfare.
I’ve always read that if going to Austrlia might as well go a little further for the better diving. It seems Australias best diving is LOBs which is $$$.
Google flights shows Indonesia , Denpasar and Jakarta, about $300 r/t and quick search seems it’s quite cheap to stay and dive in Indonesia.
Hoping someone familiar with the area could point us in the right direction for some best bang for the buck diving. We like walls and soft corals, big or little stuff, not big fans of fast currents, nice beach and warm clear water, pool a plus.
