I'll be on island tomorrow by 1:30 Bonaire time. This time staying at Hamlet Oasis. I'll be doing my checkout dive at Cliff early saturday afternoon. My Club is staying at Buddy Dive (I didn't want to pay the double fee for a single room - I snore horribly). I'm only one resort removed so I can still get together with them. But I've got my independance to dive where I want, when I want and not be tied to the group if they want to dive the Hooker (for example).
I've got a bunch of must do sites lined up as well as some snorkeling at sites that I'm too old to drag full gear to (for example 1000 Steps). Last trip I ended up with a severe stomach virus (bad water from where I stayed - I think). This time I plan to be illness free and dive my butt off. Besides a jeep I'm going to rent a scooter just to putt around on. Going to play, play, play.
I'm also going to be eating out more and cooking less - eh, probably. Anyway, this is a "don't worry about a thing, 'cause every little thing gonna' be alright" trip. Doubt I will sleep tonight. Getting up at 3am to get to the airport anyway. Plenty of time to nap on the plane.
Maybe I'll post a picture of the day. Depends on how exausted I keep myself. At nearly 71 and planning 4 - 5 dives a day I might be out of steam when not in the water.
