I did not know this man, but now I do know his story. The man that this article was about lived very close to me and dove on a boat that I was planning to dive on later that day. He was doing a 120 foot scallop dive, a very technical dive. He was the only man who did not dive with a buddy on the boat and if that mistake was corrected it could have saved his life. I am just trying to post this to help some people to realize that mistakes can happen no matter what, and especially on a more serious dive - just have someone there to help... I've heard of so many times in which incidents like this have happened, but it took this occurrence for it to truely impact my life. This man had loved ones who may never know what happened to him now. He is not dead, but is missing still (As of Sunday October 2nd, 2005). Just read this article please, maybe the hope of some more people will bring him back.
