No immigration forms given on plane. Arrived Cancun and airport staff directed everyone to the kiosk. there is a sign that says "single this area" and one "couples or families here". Went to the couples area scanned passport then it ask for other travelers passports to scan. Scanned 2nd one then hit complete. Kiosk printed an immigration form to give to the agent like normal. Guess what it only is good for the first passport that was scanned. Agent handed me a paper form to fill out and get back in line!!!! asked why the signs for " couples and families" and Kiosk ask to scan other passports but does not issue multiple forms he said everyone must scan and print as individuals. Again --- why the sign his answer-- it is the way it is done in Mexico. Everyone using the multi person kiosk had to go back and scan as individuals or fill out Paper form if the agent had any. what a cluster f--- it created.

Scan and print as a single when entering Cancun!

Have run into this situation more than once, and the problem is not limited to Mexico. It can mean a major delay upon arrival at any destination. The airlines always want to see my documents prior to boarding. IMO any international carrier that departs for a foreign country should be legally bound to have the necessary immigration documents required for entry available for every passenger on board before permission is granted for take-off. End of rant...

I think you misunderstood the post or your rant is completely unrelated. He had all the required identification documents for both of them. That's why he was able to go back into the line and get it done. But the kiosk marked for couples only printed out a form for one of them. It is *Mexico's* machine that had them scan multiple passports yet print only one form. Why even have that kiosk if it doesn't produce the documents needed by immigration officers?

Maybe it is a brand new system and kinks have to be worked out. It makes no sense to have an immigration kiosk that produces documents unacceptable to immigration officers 100 feet away. Their kiosk and their officers are not in sync. Either the kiosk needs to be modified to conform to how the officers work or the officers need to adapt to how the kiosks work.

LOL. You've been to Mexico before yes?

You’d think after the first 10, 50, 1000 couples went through and all had the same issue they could put an out of order sign on it .....until they could fix the situation.
