Just saw the new IMAX Coral Reef Adventure today,if you get a chance to see it it is awsome!:)

I thought it sucked! Not very effective in its goal.....I left the theatre with not even a slight motivation to further save the reefs...I can just imagine how non-divers were not influenced. :(

NO kidding? That's too bad. I was looking forward to seeing it.

I was hoping it would be good. I was planning on taking my nephew to see it next weekend.

It has to do with diving so its worth it in that manner, but it strays off topic...one of the main divers got a DCI hit after a deep dive down to 300+ feet..they spent like 5 minutes on that topic alone which has nothing to do with the movie....with over 1000+ dives made for this film, i thought it was lame.

anyway....just my opinion

I saw it today and it was AWESOME! Seeing it in IMAX format is totally incredible. Felt like I was in the water with them. It was sad to see the reefs in the conditions they were in around Fiji. I've seen a little of the same in Cozumel (although nowhere near to the same extent). I feel better at having joined the Coral Reef Society now. :)

I thought that the time they took away from the issue of the coral reef to show us the lame mini story of Howard Hall's DCI was inappropriate. So I have to agree with Jepuskar. Don't get me wrong, I like Howard and Michelle Hall but the movie isn't about them!

I still tremendously enjoyed the movie! The views are amazing, the music was good, and they talked about the issues of why we should be concerned about saving the coral. Worth seeing!

I just wish they used the ending of the film to tell us specifically how we can help save coral reefs. It's easy for us to just "tsk tsk" others who destroy the reef but we do that about so many other bad things that continue on and on.

I'm still wondering what I can do! Other than avoid taking coral as I dive, which I knew before this movie.

This is the organization that I am a member of that I mentioned before:

http://www.coralreefalliance.org

They do terrific work in helping to protect the reefs. I highly recommend them.
