I have the Oly C-5060 in an Ikelite housing with the DS-125 strobe....The first time out I got some wonderful images, but now....
Well, I seem to get this large, black area in the lower left corner of my images. What am I doing wrong....this is taking images at about 4ft away from subject.
I need help!
I set the camera as follows : Manual, 100 5.6 TTL and anything else?
Thanks
Kirsten

I would love to have some feedback and post an image. How do I do this?

You need to make your file size 100kb or smaller (I use save for web feature). Then you can either attach the image (scroll down when you have a new message screen and you'll see the instructions) or you can create your own gallery by heading into the gallery area and Upload photos. This will put your photos under your name or you can put them in categories. After you have uploaded you can go to the image you want and copy the url listed in the box below it, then paste it into a new message. This will make the photo show up here instead of a small thumbnail.

Charlie99:
Are you doing closeups with your strobe above and to the right of your camera? :)

Are you thinking the same as me....light being blocked by the camera

Most likely, harsh shadows from using a single strobe. Since you are shooting from 4ft., you are not shooting macro, so it is not likely that the camera is blocking anything.

Light travels in a straight path you can change its direction by adding a white colored card close to the shadowed, dark areas to "bounce" the light into the dark areas. Or get dual strobes or when shooting in clear waters, bring the strobe closer to the camera's lens, pointing the strobe at an angle that is as close to the same angle as the camera lens, keep the camera to subject distance at 1 foot or less.

If the subject is in open water (no reef in which to cast a shadow) you can move the strobe out more.
