Hi everyone!

I was PADI OW certified a few years ago and absolutely loved it. I am now looking into taking a course to become a dive master and become an instructor. I'm unsure exactly what I want to become, and know I should probably figure that out first. However, I'm looking on the forms to see where these conversations would be, but I don't have much experience with this type of site. Could someone point me in the right direction, or if you have gone through a course similar and wouldn't mind sharing your experience, or know of any online blogs dedicated to the journey through a course....

I am looking for any and all information I can. I probably wont be doing this until next year, but I have my heart set on it for many reasons.

:) Thanks to all

How many dives have you logged.

You can do AOW, rescue, And DM from lots of different instructors in your area. You you want to look at what you want from the agency you certify through as the differences are on the professional side of the house. You will need to find an IT/Course Director for your instructor course.
What you get out of these courses is going to depend on the instructor so spend some time selecting him/her.
Some instructors will require more than the min 60 dives for their DM course.

Whats your current level of diving? Divemaster is more of an internship than a set time period course. You have to acquire the DM rating before you go for your instructor rating. Get with a dive shop or a PADI pro in your area they can break it down for you. Too much to type here.

I still only have an OW, and few hours logged. I am looking for an intern course somewhere more tropical. I don't really dive where I am located.

I was curious if there was a place in the forms that already discussed the internship Go Pro course, or if anyone knew of any decent sites that are a good compare and contrast of the different programs, since the courses seem to be EVERYWHERE.

I would ask you why you want to go pro first. Then go from there. Most people go pro thinking that they are going to work in amazing tropical destinations but don't think about the fact that once you become a pro, recreational becomes a little more than just diving. Going pro is great if you love the sport though. The next question is what level. Know that with PADI you will have yearly fees for insurance and membership renewal fees depending on your level. Last, go talk to your local dive center. Talk to other dm's and instructors and see if that is the right path for you. I am not trying to talk you out of it, I just hate that people are ill informed or in some cases mis-informed of what being a dm or inst entails.

No, the Go Pro form is what I was trying to find, thanks for the link!

And to weitdodive, that's why I am trying to find more information. I'm not booking my class today; I want information so I know what I'd be getting myself into...I am just having a hard time finding that information.
