Some years ago I used to be a regular on this board but I took an extended break. Since then I have stopped being an instructor. I'm proud of the work I did at that time but it just wasn't possible to combine that passion with a full time job.

I still dive a lot, though. 98% of my dives are technical in nature these days. In my own mind, I'm just an average guy who happens to be passionate about diving.

I'm looking forward to contributing in a positive manner again.

I can't wait to read your contributions again. I always enjoyed them!

Interesting. Where do you do most of your technical diving, and what is it specifically about technical diving that appeals to you? The 'challenge,' long bottom times for exploration, access to things at depths us recreational divers don't see much of or to environments we don't reach (e.g.: caves, some wreck penetration)?

Richard.
