Hey everyone. Im new to this forum and to the world of scuba. My wife and I just finished our final exam for our open water and are going to take the open water dive in a couple weeks. We had a great instructor named Jarod from Diventures in Omaha NE which has a GREAT new dive center with their own pool just for closed water sessions. We are now in the stage of starting to buy equipment. Our first big purchases are wet suits. My wife had no problem finding a Mares tropics wet suit that fit her perfectly. My problem is that I am 6'6" about 232 with a 44" chest, 41 inch belly and 43 inch hips. According to Mares size charts that puts me in a XXL size but when I tried on a Trilastic 5-4-3 in a XXL it took two of us and then we could not even come close to getting the back to close up. Anyone else have those problems with Mares wetsuits? I then tried on a couple Pinnacle suits in their XXL and they did fit better. I was sweating so getting them on was a challenge, but hey I may be down to a 40 inch waist after the workout I got trying on the wet suits. Ok but to get to the bottom line here.....

Are there any others out there who are tall like me with somewhat of the same build (or close. See above measurements) who knows of a good fitting wetsuit that won't break the budget?
