I was wanting to get a longer backplate but can’t find one anywhere
Found a dss extra long backplate but there website shutdown don’t know what to do

I went through a similar search. I'm only 6'2" so in the end I opted to use a standard backplate and it works okay for me. I'm sure a custom one is simple to manufacture if you have the equipment/experience, but for the rest of us the only options I found were from Europe. They can be shipped to the US but it's expensive.

- Heser from Germany: Backplates und Zubehör - Heser Tauchtechnik GmbH They are known for their backup lights, but they also make special thickness and length backplates. They are very very expensive as it is a luxury diving brand.
- Kent Tooling Products from UK: Open Circuit Backplates & Accessories from Kent Tooling Diving Products Still expensive but a lot more reasonable than Heser.

There used to be a guy on Scubaboard who would manufacture them, and obviously DSS which is now defunct. I don't know of any options in the US unfortunately.

Edit: A local instructor once told me Halcyon also makes (or made) long backplates but I could never find a reference to them on their site. Maybe give them a call?
