I recently picked up (on the cheap) a used Ikelite W-20 WA lens for my compact camera rig and it came with the blue water filter that slip-fits over the lens. I have used a filter in the past and they work great for those coral garden shots with lots of coral beyond the range of my strobe (my camera does not have manual WB). Here is the question: What do you do with the filter when not in use? It is so big (4.5 inches)! Stuff it in a BC pocket? (then what about scratches?). Let it dangle? Any input from actual users or other ideas would be appreciated.

The filter as it came in the box has a lanyard to attach to the lens so it can dangle when not used
There is a little hole you can make one by yourself, alternative put in a neoprene pouch in your pocket. Typically scratches on your filter are filled with water and not visible when shooting
