I am finally going to pick up the Ikelite housing for my 20D.. I am still using the kit lens 18-55mm, as I havent upgraded yet... and am wondering which port to go with??

Any suggestions?????

Chris

Check out Ike's port chart. You have a choice of 6" or 8" dome. The 18-55 should be pretty flexible to use. Adding another lens would be perhaps be a wider angle lens or macro.

Thanks again Warren.. I just placed the order and am looking forward to getting it in the water.. also went with the DS125..

U do best w/two strobes Im running a 20d in an Ikelight housing..As for a port I have been using the 6''Im shooting w/the 17-40mm and the 50mm macro..U gona have fun shootin..........

Just went for one for now... I am sure I am going to have a backscatter issue, shooting in the pristine waters of the northeast... but Ill get comfortable with the rig this year.. I plan on adding another strobe next year.. I havent gotten it wet yet, but plan on it tomorrow...Ill let you know how it goes..

Looks like a great time out with the new gear!

I only have one strobe so don't sweat going dual until you are ready and have the cash - you don't NEED two ;) Then once you add the second one you get to start over on the learning curve!

Have fun!
