I am thinking about getting this little package. Affordable and it appears to capture some nice HD video.

Do you recommend the wideangle lens as an add on?

Mike,

If you're asking me, I don't have one. I just provided links to the videos.

I posted the same question down on the main Video forum a few months ago... got very little response. I found some stuff on YouTube and on Vimeo, but nothing that impressed me. I know someone who recently bought the JVC and said he was going to test it out in Apr, but I haven't seen anything from him yet. I will PM him and see if he did, what he thought, etc.

My dive buddy recent purchased the Picsio/Ikelite package. The link is to raw footage, no editing. The lighting is good, but again it was taken at Columbia Shallows in Cozumel. I have seen other footage but none of it has been uploaded yet.

YouTube - Grunts at Columbia Shallow Best viewed in HD.

Good video for the money.

well I bought this and so far as land use so far see what U/W looks like this sunday, performance don't like when you zoom the focus is terrible when zoomed out picture fine just not zoomed . my advice don't take short cut like I did safe money get full size cam and housing . so looking for cam and housing . was looking at this one because of excellent reviews every wear, no case yet but should be soon.
