Ikelite housing for G10 and S&S TTL

I've recently come upon an Ikelite housing for my (venerable) G10. This certainly looks like an improvement over the 'stock' Canon enclosure and I am again interested in trying to shoot using TTL metering. The Ikelite manual (written about 10 years ago) says that S&S strobes will not work when using the bulkhead connector.

I'd like to use this with my S&S YS-D2. Is this possible and what is involved to make happen?

My other option is to move the optical sync from the Canon enclosure
