that's great for local diving, but for airline travel it is a bit more complicated!
There are a couple of good bags on the market for carry-on. If you want to leave it completely assembled, minus the lights, look at one of these:
Amazon.com: Petrol PDR-B3 Cordura Camera Carrier Doctor Style Bag 3 - Open Wide Protection, Blue/Black: Camera & Photo
or
Amazon.com: Petrol PCCB-1-N Compact Camcorder Bag (Petrol Blue and Black) - Small: Camera & Photo
or taken apart:Pelican 1510-with dividers
Amazon.com: Pelican 1510-004-110 Medium Carry-On Case with Padded Dividers: Camera & Photo
I just bought this one to use

Okay, yesterday I actually took my new Pelican 1510 and put my video rig in it. Wow! My Ikelite camcorder housing (handles and base removed) fit along with my light setup, batteries, chargers, and a few pieces of my husbands still camera rig! I am very happy! I will be able to carry-on my whole video outfit for the first time in a rolling case and not be afraid of issues with it. (last time I carried it on, I had it in an unpadded bag and had to force it under the seat in front of me, giving me not foot room on plane! I was also very nervous about it getting bumped and also the fact it had no rollers so I had to carry it through the airport (heavy!)
I took a photo of it - I will try to load it on here to show how it fits.
