I purchased an older -as of yet unidentified Calypso (I think) reg off ebay for the sole purpose of using it as a cadaver for my regulator building experiences. The seller told me it was a Calypso IV, but I know that is not true by looking at the repair manual.

After talking with Aqualung factory I believe it might actually be a later Calypso - either a 12 or 13 perhaps. Funny they can't ID it based on serial number...thought that was why they put the silly things on there....

Here is a quick description - I hope someone here can help me..and maybe there is a service manual out there for it once I do have it properly identified.

The 2nd stage is the same as the Conshelf XIV, except that instead of a poppet and separate seat they are melded into a single part.

The 1st stages body looks very similar to previous versions of the Calypso except there is a horn that protudes at about a 45 degree angle from the main body of the 1st stage which has a HP port. It has 3 LP ports - one on the end cap and two on the side of the endcap.

Any one here able to help?

A picture paints a thousand words but why can't I paint you?

Have you got a digi camera and give us a clue...

perhaps I need to hide my head in shame. It may be a Calypso 4 after all....Aqualung sent a fax of old catalogue page of the 4 and it looks like what I have. Now why the hell they did not bother to show the horn and the HP port in any of their service manual parts schematics or explanatory diagrams...well what can I say.....
