thanks. does anyone know of a similar site for Bama? I found the spear fishing laws that deal with licensing and all but havent found limits info and also havent found info talking about where you can spear(how far from beaches, fishing piers etc)
 
Same limits apply for spearfishing as for reel fishing in AL. Spearfishing only allowed in saltwater though.

We don't have any silly laws as far as spearfishing a certain distance off man-made jetties and beaches like in FL. Anywhere you can reelfish, you can spearfish. Enjoy!
 
Thanks. that is good to know. I am dying to get back in the water. And with a wife and two kids shores dive I think will allow for some quick getaways.
 
If it weren't for shore dives, I'd only get a 12-20 dives a year... Shore dives have allowed me 100+ dives a year ;)
