I was going to post this in the DIR column, but they are not creative enough.:mooner:

So hee we go:

1. DACOR THE RIG PRO Backplate BC
2. Diverite DUAL bladder classic wings
3. Quickdraw twin tank straps
4. Two HP120 tanks
5. Four tank bangers, two for each tank, mounted above and below the straps.
6. Two 3 cu ft spare air, or 4 one cu ft spare air, mounted symmetrically for good trim.
7. Two XS scuba M4 mask with side windows and purge valves.
8. Two dry snorkels.
9. Two DIN Y valves to support 4 regulators.
10. Two EMT shears on the BC, and two knives on the ankle, and 2 line cutters on the waist band.
11. Two DIVE alert, one for each inflator.
12. Two 7 ft sausages.

Please offer HONEST critique of the above system. AND PLEASSSE, don't flame me because of how you don't like spare air. I think TWO pony is an over kill, since we allready have TWO 120 tanks. Now, how can such a system fail? 246 CU FT of air, 6 first stages, and 6 second stages !!!

I would appreciate advice on how to rig the 4 regulators up.... I think my DIR fundamental instructor will be very impressed when he sees me with such a rig.

1. Lose the snorkels.
2. Bangers only on the bottoms of the tanks.
3. One knife and one shears on each the bc and ankle.
4. Ditch the M4's and get two of Poseidons full face masks as well as dual comm gear.
5. Get two 50# and two 100# lift bags.

Make sure your buddies are geared up the same as well so you can have redundant spares.

Happy diving!

I can't draw, wish my tank straps could. They could do it slowly, I wouldn't mind.
Redundant redundant tank bangers is outlandish.
4, 1cf spare air is ridiculous, stick with 2 3's.
Redundant snorkels is just overkill.
1 EMT shears in a pocket, 1 line cutter on a shoulder strap. Well you have two ankles (have I assumed too much) so you may as well have a knife on each one for trim.
2 7' sausages is just showing off.

You do not have enough redundancy in your regs.

Fisher, you are missing one of the most central and critical components of the DIR system (sigh).

We dive as a TEAM. DISTRIBUTE those snorkels and tank bangers and spare airs among your team! There is no need for every team member to have them.

The best way to configure your gear is to contact your Fundies instructor ahead of time for advice on how best to do it. And make sure your dry snorkels are Halcyon.

You do not have enough redundancy in your regs.

Lucy, your a bloody stroket!!! His redundant redundant regs are more than enough!! The team ethos of DIR make anymore redundancy in his reg set up redundant!
