'Dinosaur Bends' Caused by Prolonged Diving

ScienceDaily (Aug. 15, 2012) — Dinosaur-like creatures may have injured themselves during leisurely deep-sea diving trips and not from resurfacing too quickly, as previously thought.
 
Although I do not pretend to be a true expert in this, my understanding is that these kind of lesions in humans are not the result of cases of the bends but, as the article suggests for these prehistoric beasts, due to years of deep diving.
