seen that video over the weekend and was extremely impressed. its always good to see people going out of their way to help. kudos to that chap!!

a trilibite line cutter would have worked better in that situation, but the diver did great with the scissors.

You could see that he was very nervous when he first pulled out the scissors (hands shaking), I would have been too. I have never seen a dolphin while diving, but I have seen quite a few videos by divers with dolphins, and this was by far my favorite. I think it shows incredible intelligence that it is able to recognize both that the diver can help, and that the diver can be trusted.

I second the Trilobite. So small and easy to attach to a BCD strap.

Concur. Probably easier than the dive sabre he had- wasn't that an XS Scuba Fogcutter?

Trilobite type devices will go through almost anything- to include kevlar.
