Hi,

I just received my new Fusion Bullet from my LDS (NADCO Greensboro, NC) and I have a question about the neck seals. The wrist seals fit well, but my neck seal is a bit tight to start. I have read about your seals are best to be stretched first vs. cut right? Do you have a best practice on how to stretch the neck seal? Ie. use Talc powder while putting the neck over a tank?

Thanks!

Hey Mike,
The best way to handle this is to take your suit and yourself back to your LDS and have them trim the neck seal for you. The seal should fit almost uncomfortably snug but not so snug that you are cutting circulation off to your noodle. The moment that the seal feels comfortable at the surface you have gone to far and it mostly won't be the driest fit.

The misnomer of stretching a polytex (white seals) around a tank isn't going to change the seals dimension all that much if at all. This method was used for neoprene seals and does work but just for a different seal made of different materials.

If you decide to trim the seal yourself be sure to use a very good quality sharp pair of scissors that haven't cut anything but latex "polytex" seals. Scissors that have seen paper will not preform well for the job.

I hope this helps!

PS: Say hi to Randy at NADCO for me.

Cheers,
-Eric-

Thanks Eric! I'll take it back over to Randy and Dolphi to have them trim my neck seal a bit then. Thanks again!!
