Good question. I have a Large Hydros with orange pockets. VERY LIGHTLY USED. $5,000 OBO

Make contact with a Scubapro platinum dealer, they are the only ones getting stock in right now. Although we have been selling them faster than we get them in. At DEMA Scubapro told me expect a steady supply in a month to two.

Apparently there are some modifications to the Hydros BCD. This meant a new production release - should be available within a month.

I heard they are making some modifications to the chest strap to reinforce it before they put them out in the stores on general sale. A few DM's at my LDS have them already. Cant wait for mine its been on order for a few months now.

Yeah I heard the same story from my LDS. Available in time for Christmas with any luck.

The rubber shoulder piece is tearing away from the pin that connects it to the backplate. I an not sure a chest strap modification solves that problem.

Apparently the story goes along the lines that instructors have been grabbing students by the sternum straps and they have been breaking off.

Mine has been coming off without anyone grabbing me. Wonder how they are going to address existing BCs?

It seems to me that SP is starting to fall behind other manufacturers in terms of innovation and new ideas. They are now hot on color matching and their GO fins. Pretty much everything else seems meh. There's a rumor swirling about a color Galileo - putting lipstick on a pig IMO.
