I picked up a pair of somewhat older used steel tanks that were made in 2005, but only have one hydro test stamp from July 2018 and a visual inspection from the same time. I am curious if anyone else has seen this and if there would be any concern with the history, considering that the tanks have just passed both a hydro and visual. Thanks.

no concern, just means there were unused at least from 2010 to 2018, but potentially earlier. I have plenty of bigger gaps than that between hydros on multiple tanks I own

No worry. they just sat a long time. I have a few that are collecting extra time between hydros as well.
They passed and are current, they are good to go.
