Does anyone have info about the incident on the Hydro Atlantic this morning? Coast Guard helicopters, sheriff's boats, and lots of chatter on Channel 16.

I heard the diver was alive. That's about it.

I got a couple of texts this evening asking what I knew but I'm out of the loop. I hope the diver is okay.

Check rebreatherman's post on TDS today. It involved an accident, but not sure which one...

Rebreatherman's post was about a solo RB diver fatality of NJ on the wreck of the Stolt Dagali.
Very little information so about the Hydro Atantic accident off Pompano Beach other than the dive was conducted from Pompano Dive Center's boat.

I knew the diver very well, we believe he was stricken by O2 toxicity, probably from a mislabled tank or other similar reason. Suffered convulsions on the bottom and underwent an uncontrolled ascent. He passed this morning, and will be missed very much by his extended diving family. RIP Jeff, you'll always be our unseen dive buddy.

Very sad... . He was a very good friend of mine and one of the best divers I knew. RIP Jeff
