Have only experienced them topside, but they are such beautiful whales. Nice pix, Chris.

Remember one late afternoon on our way down to Cabo from La Paz. We were near Cabo Pulmo when we saw a large group of humpbacks, mainly males, vying for the females. It continued into sunset making for some beautiful video footage.

You've got some awesome shots. Thanks for sharing.

What great creatures, they are so majestic.

You were really up close and personal, great shots. Thanks for sharing.

Magnificent! Whales are one of my favorite animals...next to my dog :) Those pictures are excellent and I must admit I am very jealous at your proximity to them. I had the pleasure of hearing whales sing earlier this month in Kauaii and it was a treat.

Wow!!! amazing!!! I love the baby in the first picture! Can you tell I'm jealous?:14:

That was a very young baby, most likely less than a week old. its dorsal fin was still curled and it was much lighter in color than the older babies. We never attempt to get in the water with babies this young. this one was making it's first breaching attempts and that was as far out of the water it could get. it did this for 10 to 15 minuets.
