Scuba 2000 is organizing a GoFundMe Medical Campaign on behalf of Joel Pomerantz, one of our phenomenal long standing Master Instructors, who suddenly fell ill and was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor/cancer. Being a PADI Professional Diver and a Professional Driver for the Toronto Film Industry, the nature of this illness has left him unable to work in both these fields of employment. We are raising funds to assist Joel with daily living expenses, as well as uninsured medical needs, to aid him in the difficult days to come. To all who have had the pleasure of working with Joel, you are certainly aware of his passion for diving, travel, his love for life and how he went above and beyond with each of his students. For many of us a course with Joel, turned into several more courses, a shared passion of the sport and a lifelong friendship.
We appreciate all of your support and please know that there is no sum that is too little to help.
