I'm considering going on a boat dive with Prodive on Sunday, October 3. With all the rain of the past few days, is the vis going to be okay? I don't want to waste my money. Should I skip it and try again when I return in November?

Looking out the window and down to the beach, I'd say it's going to be a shocker for vis, Daryl. I'm on the Northern Beaches, and the waves are breaking out halfway between the headlands. It's all mare's tails and big rollers coming in. I can see Long Reef to the South from here, and it's all whitewater. Very chunderous seas.

Pity, as it's a bit of a wasted long weekend :116: Would have been nice to kick off an early Summer.

Thanks for the info. I called the shop and they came to the same conclusion. They said the dive is cancelled for tomorrow. Oh well, maybe next time.
