Welcome back! For that side of the DFW metroplex Wheeler Branch Reservoir in Glen Rose Texas is the place to go. It's roughly 1.5hrs from Ft Worth. While it does not have a fill station it is an excellent lake to dive in and work your skills.
As far as dive shops in the area you have:
Island Divers in Denton
DFW Scuba in Haltom City
High Tide Scuba in Mansfield
The Scuba Shop in North Richland Hills
There is also The Scuba Ranch but that is roughly 2 hours away in Terrell Texas, BUT it's also an excellent place to dive AND they have a fill station and rental shop on site. Good luck and have fun!

Welcome! I'm also getting back in the water after life got in the way! I'm a little southeast of you, south of Dallas. Looking forward to making bubbles again. Have you done a refresher course?
