just decided to take my G9 underwater (in canon housing), just wondering when the supplied grease that arrived with the housing run out; which other to use? must I look for "canon" grease? any silicone grease will do without deteriorating the gasket? what do you normally use? the O-ring material for canon housing seems to me quite delicate - but that is maybe just my feeling never seen anything else though.
thanks.

You can order more grease from Canon for your oring if you run out.

I've yet to run out of the stuff any manufacturer has supplied to me, though. Little amounts is the key to good oring maintenance. If you do a search in this area of the board, you'll find some very good discussions on how to take the best care of your rig.

Enjoy!

must it be canon grease? or any silicone lube will do?
