After my very first dive with the new camera I noticed some scratches on the back lid (Yeah I know but beach entries in rocky Africa is hell) right in front of the LCD screen. It’s not too deep to polish out but I am hesitant to use just any rubbing agent like car polish for fear that it might ruin the acrylic plastic. I have used toothpaste with grit on a motorcycle helmet visor before but that took ages. Does anyone know what I can use as a rubbing agent with safe but sufficient "bite"

there is polishing compound designed for acrylic plastic. use that on a jewelers wheel. some people use a retractor system that brings the camera back up to their chest when their doing shore entries and exits.
