Hello,

I would like to save $70 or so and I was thinking that making the Suunto D Series USB can't be to hard. After all, it will be plugged in on my desk on an even service so all I need to do is insert some wires into my watch to a usb port in my computer. My question is does anyone know if the cable is more complicated than just a cable. ie. is it anything more than just wires? If not does anyone know were I can find a diagram of it so that I can make it myself?

Thanks

they are active adapters. you can make one off a ttl board if you have the right microelectronics soldering experience and equipment, but the dive computer cables are not the same thing as a regular old usb cable.

That's a shame. Do you know of any good knock-offs for the cable?

edit: posted before I read dfx response
